5/7/2023 0 Comments Simulacron![]() ![]() As a group, we were composed of 3 computer scientists in training, a data scientist, an MD, and a marketing consultant. The implications for helping the VA and Veterans with health issues was a big draw to the team. Haley, our group leader, proposed a real problem that she sees in her own work, and it seemed actionable and like something we could make real progress on in the following two days. It was a tough choice to abandon my pitch and pick an established group to work with. ![]() Everyone showed passion towards driving innovation to eradicate cancer and make patients' lives better. Over 100 Pitches were given on interesting and innovative topics. One of 4 tracks of roughly 100 teams each, competing in the hackathon. ![]() My team was Team Simulacron, and we were on the cancer track. People came from as far away as India and Pakastan, Toronto and Mexico, and across the USA to participate. It brought together professionals, researchers, and academics from around the world. MIT Hacking Medicine's recent GrandHack was an amazing event. ![]()
